Steve Savva FACP, FICM
Managing Director and Presenter
Steve has been involved in credit management since leaving school. He has been developing and presenting credit management training courses for a number of years and has earned an enviable and impressive reputation, culminating in being recognised as one of the leading experts in the credit management profession.
Steve has immense ability in ensuring participation by all delegates. This, combined with his considerable ability to impart essential information in a most interesting, easily understood manner, enables delegates to return to their work places highly motivated, with increased confidence and vital knowledge, which they can put to good use immediately to their company's benefit.
Steve is educated to a high standard and is extensively knowledgeable and experienced across all aspects of both commercial and consumer credit management.
He has been writing, promoting and delivering credit management training courses throughout his long career. He established Credit Management Training Limited in 1993 which has been running successfully ever since.
Prior to this, Steve was the Director of Training at Touché Ross (now Delloite) and he has held senior appointments at companies including: CCC Business Studies, Tatung (UK) and Valor Heating. He started his career straight from schools as a credit controller with Bristol Street Motors.
Trevor Jones ACIB, FACP, MICM
Director
Trevor is an accomplished credit professional. He possess wide knowledge and experience of the credit industry especially in the field of credit control and collections gained primarily in financial services led 'blue-chip' companies, including, Barclays, Nationwide Building Society and Morgan Stanley where he was responsible for the bank's UK residential special servicing function.
Trevor is educated to a high standard and holds Diploma qualifications in both Banking and Credit Control. His knowledge spans both secured and unsecured credit disciplines and is competent across both consumer and commercial credit groups.
He has recently joined Credit Management Training Limited as a director owner to support Steve Savva grow and develop the business's existing training and consulting services and implement new services including credit control, collections and debt mediation.
Trevor's key skills and experience includes:
- Directing and leading sizeable and complex operations/responsibilities;
- Improving performance and maximising cost-efficiency through process re-engineering, system enhancement and customisation;
- Leading the determination and on-going analysis of asset portfolios to ensure effective targeted implementation;
Brian Smith FACP, ACIB
Director and Presenter
Brian Smith enjoyed a career with Lloyds Bank. Upon retiring at management level he moved into education and training. Brian has lectured at numerous colleges to undergraduate level and has trained on such subjects as: debtor psychology, stress management and personal development to a number of ‘blue-chip' companies. He was once described by the CIB "as the best distance tutor in the country”.
Brian has run his own specialised service by offering counselling and assisting borrowers facing re-possession by dealing with the financial and legal aspects of this.
Brian Smith is educated to a high standard. He holds a Diploma in Banking and is currently studying on a BSc (hons) course. He is also certificated to teach in further education and is trained in stress management.
Sally Gibbs MACP
Client Services Manager
Sally has been working as Client Services Manager with Credit Management Training Ltd since September 2002. Her charming personality and telephone manner enable her to develop an instant rapport with people.
Sally is responsible for the day to day running of the office ensuring delegates receive all the necessary information relating to CMT services whether they are making a general enquiry or registering to attend a training course.
Prior to joining CMT Sally was the Post Office Manager at Cropwell Bishop Post Office & Store.
Marie Rule LLB
Presenter
Marie has extensive knowledge of Debt Recovery from both local government and private enterprise perspectives and is currently employed as Litigation and Recovery Officer for a Local Authority. She is a member of the Law Society and has completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice.
Marie presents cases in the courts on behalf of a local council and this combined with her ability to decide upon the most appropriate enforcement action in each case has enabled her to bring successful conclusions to many cases.
Marie's expert comprehension of this area enables delegates to gain a first-rate insight into the mechanisms of legal procedures in debt recovery. It is fair to say, Marie will keep you thoroughly absorbed.
